Maggie Sottero Trunk Show!
Hey everyone! We are thrilled to announce that we are hosting a Maggie Sottero Trunk Show on November 11th and 12th! This is a great opportunity to see some of the latest collection that isn't usually in our store. The other great part about the trunk show is that when ordering your Maggie Sottero gown or a Sottero and Midgley, you will receive a 10% discount! Prom 2012: Spotlight on Clarisse!
Prom 2012 is here! Believe it or not but the time has come to start previewing what's in store for the newest prom season. Every couple of weeks we are going to feature a new prom 2012 collection that will be available in just a few short months here at Glitz. To say that there are AMAZING dresses out there this year is an understatement! Today, the spotlight is on Clarisse. Clarisse offers a variety of formal dresses: prom dresses, short dresses, formal dresses, and the list goes on. Today's Obsession!
We've decided to start a new blog series where at least once a week we will post about our latest obsession! Today it just happens to be short wedding dresses! Short wedding dresses are perfect for every bride. They are versatile, fun, and something that can be both classic and modern. Short wedding are great for ceremonies, or are perfect for the bride to change into for the reception or the rehearsal dinner! We have many hear at Glitz so if a short wedding dress is what you're looking for, or if you know someone who would be absolutely perfect in a short dress, send them our way because we're OBSESSED!

The Pink Bride!
Last night we had the pleasure of attending the The Pink Bride event. It was a time enjoyed by all where we were able to network, meet new people, and visit with friends! The event was beautiful! One of the best parts was seeing our beautiful Maggie Sottero gown displayed on their hot pink mannequin! Thanks to The Pink Bride for having us, we had a blast! Brides Across America
It's that time of the year again for Brides Across America! Glitz is teaming up with the charity in support of our troops and their families. The event gives Military Brides the chance of finding and getting their dream dress because often times, Military Brides don't always get their dream wedding. Some brides have to give up their wedding due to their fiancees being deployed quickly. In other cases, brides have a civil ceremony and then wait years for their fiancee to return home to finally have their wedding day. Glitz is honored to be part of this wonderful charity. "you can shorten it and wear it again..." part 1
I often hear women discussing just HOW any bridesmaids dresses they have sitting in their closet.
27 Dresses is one of my favorite movies. I alway find so funny when the sales associate tells the bride "you can always shorten it and wear it again"
I often hear brides say that they want their girls to be able to wear their dresses again. Honestly, most of us do not have an event where we will need to wear the dresses again, but it is nice to have the option when needed. I think (and hope) we can all agree most brides want their bridesmaids to look and feel beautiful, and if the occasion presented itself, wear their dress again.
But...
It can be difficult to find a dress that both fits the theme of the wedding and the body shape of ten of your closest friends.
Luckily there are options...
...and we can help you.
A few things I have noticed when brides are picking out their bridesmaid dresses:
1. it's overwhelming
2. its seems to be nearly impossible to satisfy everyone.
So how do you deal with this?
If a bride is feeling overwhelmed by the hundreds of dress options, we suggest taking a step back and having someone else picking out a few styles for you. All of our Bridal Sales Associates are very skilled in picking out options for you. We know which styles are flattering on which body types. We are able to take YOUR vision and find the perfect dress for you. Of course, you are also welcomed to browse through our dresses...we're just here to help in any way possible.
If it seems that everyone has a different opinion, we suggest for the bride to pick out a few styles they love, and have their bridesmaids try them on.

Happy Saturday!
Prom season is in full swing at Glitz! Currently we have tons of beautiful prom dresses in stock. If you don't see something you love in the store, we are happy to order it for you!
Frequently asked questions regarding prom/pageant dresses:
Q: Do I have to purchase the stock piece, or can you order me a new dress?
A: You are welcomed to purchase the dress from the floor or we can order you a new one if it is in stock.
Q: How long does it take to order a dress:
A: If the dress is in stock at the designer we can have it at Glitz in about a week. Otherwise, the designer will give us a specific shipping date for your dress.
Q: Do dresses come in different colors/sizes?
A: Most dresses are available in a few colors and several different sizes.
Q: How will I know if it will fit?
A: We will take your measurements and find your perfect size via a size chart. If we have a similar style in the size you are looking for, we may have you try it on too! We also have a great seamstress on hand who can fix any minor problems.
Q: Can I order a dress that I don't see in the store?
A: Yes! We can order any dresses from the designers we sale.

This dress is beautiful in person! The detail is wonderful. It has a "princess-y" feel with out being overly perfect. It will be great for a girl who likes the ball-gown look without wearing a ball-gown.

This is a show-stopper. Elegant and simple, yet fun. Our staff is OBSESSED with this dress.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...
Hello Ladies!
It's been a while...and we apologize.
January and February happen to be two very exciting months at Glitz. Why? (hint: it's not the freezing temperatures nor the snow)
We LOVE the first two months of the year because....
#1: We get to meet tons of beautiful, newly engaged brides!
#2: Prom season starts (currently in full swing). For prom season our store becomes transformed into a kaleidoscope of beautiful sparkly gowns. What can we say...we love the glitz.
#3: Our staff quadruples in size...we have tons of lovely ladies who are excited to help you find the perfect gown for any occasion!
#4: Warmer days remind us that spring is so close.
Along with all the prom and bridal fun comes extended store hours.
