The Pink Bride!

Last night we had the pleasure of attending the The Pink Bride event. It was a time enjoyed by all where we were able to network, meet new people, and visit with friends! The event was beautiful! One of the best parts was seeing our beautiful Maggie Sottero gown displayed on their hot pink mannequin! Thanks to The Pink Bride for having us, we had a blast! Brides Across America

It's that time of the year again for Brides Across America! Glitz is teaming up with the charity in support of our troops and their families. The event gives Military Brides the chance of finding and getting their dream dress because often times, Military Brides don't always get their dream wedding. Some brides have to give up their wedding due to their fiancees being deployed quickly. In other cases, brides have a civil ceremony and then wait years for their fiancee to return home to finally have their wedding day. Glitz is honored to be part of this wonderful charity. "you can shorten it and wear it again..." part 1

I often hear women discussing just HOW any bridesmaids dresses they have sitting in their closet.

27 Dresses is one of my favorite movies. I alway find so funny when the sales associate tells the bride "you can always shorten it and wear it again"

I often hear brides say that they want their girls to be able to wear their dresses again. Honestly, most of us do not have an event where we will need to wear the dresses again, but it is nice to have the option when needed. I think (and hope) we can all agree most brides want their bridesmaids to look and feel beautiful, and if the occasion presented itself, wear their dress again.

But...

It can be difficult to find a dress that both fits the theme of the wedding and the body shape of ten of your closest friends.

Luckily there are options...

A few things I have noticed when brides are picking out their bridesmaid dresses:

1. it's overwhelming

2. its seems to be nearly impossible to satisfy everyone.

So how do you deal with this?

If a bride is feeling overwhelmed by the hundreds of dress options, we suggest taking a step back and having someone else picking out a few styles for you. All of our Bridal Sales Associates are very skilled in picking out options for you. We know which styles are flattering on which body types. We are able to take YOUR vision and find the perfect dress for you. Of course, you are also welcomed to browse through our dresses...we're just here to help in any way possible.

If it seems that everyone has a different opinion, we suggest for the bride to pick out a few styles they love, and have their bridesmaids try them on.
