This dress is beautiful in person! The detail is wonderful. It has a "princess-y" feel with out being overly perfect. It will be great for a girl who likes the ball-gown look without wearing a ball-gown.

Sherri Hill
One of our prettiest dresses in the store! Along withe blush, we also have it in red, black on black, and nude on black!

This is a show-stopper. Elegant and simple, yet fun. Our staff is OBSESSED with this dress.

10 Things Brides Dislike about Bridal Salons Part 1

When any bride walks through the door of any salon she feels excitement and joy to be searching for one of the most important details of her dream day. But when her feelings are shot down as soon as she experiences one of these 10 most dislike attributes of any bridal salon it leaves a bad taste in her mouth for the entire search.
Here are 10 personality traits you may find at other bridal stores:
  1. They Are Snotty

Brides come from all walks of life and I feel that as a bride I should not be sized up by my ring. I should get the most undivided attention because I am a bride and that is what I deserve, not pushed aside because the employees feel that I don't fit the mold of there VIP clientele.

2. They Are Pushy

Most bridal salon employees work off of commission and we as customers understand that right. However, when employees use that right to boost their quota for the month we feel is not acceptable. They push us to purchase product that we don't need nor that we want. They use fear as a staple in their pocket of tricks to scare us into buying. They will use lines like this, "If you do not order this week then you won't have time for alterations, so therefore you won't get the dress of your dreams in time for your wedding." Or they tell you a little white lie about how long the shipping really takes. Sometimes bridal consultants do not take to heart what the bride is trying to explain to them. For example, I was trying to explain to my bridal consultant that even though I am not a short girl, an average height for a woman, I wanted to wear 4 1/2 inch heels along with a big crinoline to give my ball gown bridal gown the extra poof. I suggested extra length to her and she told me that my bridal gown was puffy enough without the slip and that getting extra length wouldn't be necessary. I listened to her and put my worries aside because she is the one who knows everything about this business. The first day I tried on my bridal gown I was completely disappointed, my gown was to short with my 4 1/2 inch heels and my crinoline skirt. I now how to choose between the two, heels or a puffy skirt. As a bride I shouldn't have to choose, my bridal consultant should of taken to heart what I was explaining to her. A bride should never have to sacrifice her dreams because the person she trust is not really paying attention to the details of her day.

3. Where Are the Real Sizes?

A plus size bride should never have the fear that a bridal salon will not have gowns for them to try on because of their size. That little thought should not even be a little thought in any brides mind. I have to say from experience that is extremely embarrassing when a bridal gown wouldn't go over my hips or when I tried to take it off I got stuck in it. It is also extremely disappointing when I feel that the gown that I am staring at could be the one until I go to try it on and the bridal consultant tells me that it is a size 8. So basically save your heartache and don't even bother. We can also go to the other spectrum and say that size 0 brides have a similar thought. People always say, "Well at least they can get into them." Well sir, ma'am, let me tell you that it would be hard for any bride to see how a gown is suppose to fit, even though they are clipped into the gown, when it looks deformed and hangs on all areas of the body.

4. Nobody Can Find Me a Gown in My Budget

You can only imagine the look of a bride when she walks straight to a dress and you know she is head over heels in love with it but then she looks at the price tag and the life drains from her face. It is truly heart breaking. A bride knows that different stores offer a different price range but, for the working class bride to walk into an average price bridal store and the only price range they have to offer is the ones that make dollar signs pop out of your eyeballs, not so accommodating. Every bride should be able to find the bridal gown of their dreams and not have to sacrifice design, structure, or quality.

5. My Information is Private

When you ask a bride for their phone number and email and they give you a fake one you know that they have been hassled before. When a bride gives you her information she is confident that a bridal salon won't abuse or misuse that information. She is entrusting that her information won't be sold or she won't have harassing phone calls or emails.

6. They Don't Have What I Like

Every bride knows that each bridal salon has it own personality and what it is known for. But there is a difference in what a bridal store does best and and the only thing they do. It would be terrible to walk into a store and all you see is ball gowns with lots of rhinestones or straight gowns with nothing on them. Every bridal salon should have a wide variety of gowns from straight, to mermaid, to ballgown, to fully beaded to simple and elegant.

7. I Am No Longer Important

Every bride needs to feel that they are important even up to the day of the wedding. No bride ever once to feel that once you hand them the plastic they are a check mark off of their list of leads. Brides are not targets! They need and deserve assistance to the very end. Brides are not experienced in the wonderful world of wedding gowns, every step they take is a brand new feeling, either happy or scary.

8. No Response Back

It really shows how much a bridal salon really cares for you when you either leave a message or send an email and they respond with...nothing. You, the bride, have full confidence in the salon of your choice but you feel your confidence shaken when no one will return you inquiry with a reply.

9. I'm All Alone

This experience is always new to every bride. Sometimes they know what they want but can't find it or they have no idea of what they want and like everything. Every bridal consultant should be there every step of the way with a bride. She can help her transform any idea into a reality. A bridal consultant should even go as far as helping the bride into the gown. This is not a t-shirt you are putting on and it can be very tricky. Help is on the girls!

10. No Appointment, No Service?

Why is it when a bride walks into an empty salon is turned away when an appointment hasn't been made. A bride should never feel condemned because she didn't know an appointment was important or needed. Again this a brand new world to a bride and you want to keep her excitement burning not pour water on it. A bride understands that this is not shopping for clothes but that does not mean she should be thrown under a bus when an appointment wasn't scheduled.
